3 garment workers killed and a dozen wounded in protests for wage increase

Jan. 3, 2014; The garment workers protests for wage increase outside Canadia industrial park southwest of Phnom Penh clashed with anti-riot forces, the anti-riot forces fires live ammunitions into the air in intended to disperses the crowds, the protesters used slingshot, threw Molotov coctail, rocks and stones, anti-riot forces fires live ammunition at protesters killed at least 3 people and wounded 2 (according deputy police chief) but according to human rights said about a dozen were actually wounded

Mr.Sam Rainsy of the Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) condemned police unnecessary uses of force to escalated the violence

The protests against Hun Sen and the government has increase over the past year from human rights violation in the protests against the government's property developments on longtime residence, vote rigged, employment compensation and wage increase
